Really have to begin to wonder what is going on
with our rainfall. April 07 had a total rainfall of
0.3mm according to the EA's data, followed swiftly
by over 100mm in June. We then had heavy rainfall
for July (data not shown yet) which will push us
significantly over our LTA for 3 months running.
How then can we be well under our LTA for flow?
There are some serious questions for the future
unless we really sort out our rainfall retention,
abstraction and water use issues. I for one don't
want to see the Nadder go the same way as some of
the countries chalkstreams that now run purely as
winterbournes.
